These kids grow up so fast!!

It's hard to believe how quickly my nephews are growing up.....from little toddlers who could barely crawl, to young fellows who run around, crawl around, dance and play video games!! it's all happening too quickly!

Thinking about...Psychiatry

As my psych rotation comes to a close today, I've been thinking more and more about psychiatry as a career choice down the road. I've had a great time during my rotation and seen some really, REALLY interesting people, many of them very sick. And in many ways I feel I may have made some difference in their lives. The staff all seem very content and happy with their jobs, and a few of them have said I should consider it because I've done a good job during this rotation. And here comes the dilemma which I wonder about - will I enjoy it as a career? Will I always be interested and enjoy working with this population for many years down the road? I don't know.....I still don't want to stray from my focus of Geriatrics, but perhaps this is something to consider. It'll be interesting to see how my other rotations go and how much I'll enjoy them. We'll see.......next up: Ortho!

Vacation to Europe

We had a fantastic trip to London, Paris, Munich and Salzburg, albeit tiring from all the running around! I think we both lost a bit of weight (not that there was much to start with), but it was fun and filled with tons of memories.
